Bio

Michael Perrino is the Educational Coordinator for the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). In this role, he oversees trainee recruitment, onboarding, and educational operations for residents and fellows, working closely with the University of Toronto, Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), Medical Affairs, and divisional leadership to ensure a seamless transition for trainees entering the program.

Michael is passionate about creating an exceptional learner experience and plays a key role in coordinating fellowship recruitment, fellow and residency education, orientation, scheduling, educational activities, and trainee support. He is committed to streamlining processes and fostering a welcoming, organized, and supportive learning environment that enables trainees to succeed both clinically and academically.

With extensive experience in healthcare administration and medical education, Michael takes pride in building strong relationships with learners, faculty, and administrative partners while continuously seeking opportunities to improve program operations and trainee experiences. Outside of work, Michael enjoys travelling with his wife and kids, a big hockey fan, cooking, and discovering new restaurants.
